From Gina Ha: (12/29/09)
I just wanted to say that I'm really grateful to have received the opportunity to know Lauren. I remember that I first met her in sixth grade and she seemed to be really sweet and funny (I have found that exactly to be her personality). At recess, she would take out her CD player and start singing and dancing to 1000 Miles by Vanessa Carlton. Seeing that would always put a smile on my face and to this day, though there are plenty of songs that I've gotten sick of and stopped listening to, I have never grown tired of that particular song. Why did it have such an impact on me since then? I have no idea. I just know that listening to that song reminds me of Lauren and I love it. There isn't a single word in the dictionary that can describe what an amazing person Lauren is which makes it difficult for me to explain how much she means to me. She will ALWAYS have a special place in my memories as I'm sure is the same for everyone else she has met. I will always remember her lovely smile that could shine through the thickest of fogs, her beautiful personality that would make any person jealous, and her astounding ability to make a terrible day so much better. Lauren, I Love You Forever.

Lauren Michelle Webb was born on May 3, 1994 to her loving parents, David and Melodie Webb in Fort Collins, Colorado. From the day she was born, Lauren's family knew she would be an invaluable source of love, and laughter. For more than 15 years, Lauren filled the lives of those she knew with happiness and optimism. Besides being a delightful person, Lauren proved to be an exceptional student at Skyline. Despite her struggle with cancer, Lauren was able to maintain a 4.0 GPA during 9th, and what she had of 10th grade.
After battling cancer for the third and final time, Lauren left her family and friends on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Lauren loved spending time with friends and family. She played the violin outstandingly well and often played duets with her older sisters, Carlie Webb, who is a senior at Skyline this year, and Sara Webb who is on a mission in Bankok, Thailand.
Lauren's funeral was held four days after she passed away on January 2, 2010 at the LDS Stake Center located next to Wasatch Jr. High School. At the funeral, Lauren's family and Elders of the LDS church spoke on her behalf. Her older brother, Taylor Webb, shared priceless memories of his relationship with his sister including the gifts she made him with her own hands. Taylor exaggerated the game he and Lauren played. It was was a contest of who loved the other more. Letters that were sent to Lauren's older sister, Sara, on her mission were also read sharing Lauren's great sense of humor with everyone. A beautiful violin piece was played by Lauren's sisters, Carlie and Sara during the ceremony. Lauren's father, David Webb, shared many of his own memories with Lauren and her mother, Melodie Webb, read Lauren's obituary which was published in the local Deseret News just after Lauren's passing.
Those who knew Lauren would agree that she was a great influence on each individual she knew. She never complained or mentioned the pain she felt. She advertised a smile on her face everywhere she went. Lauren has set an example that many will follow.
